Job Summary

Be a part of the team making a significant impact in transforming the UAE into one of the biggest Higher Education hubs in the region. We’re looking for a full-stack Wordpress Developer who enjoys working in small, and remote teams with a proven track records of releasing high quality code under demanding timelines.

Key Qualifications

Have 3+ years experience working with Wordpress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and Javascript
Experience in MySQL and the architecture of the Wordpress database.
Experience in migrating Wordpress websites, along with taxonomy management and migration.
Experience in front-end web technologies (JS, JQuery, CSS, HTML)
Experience in developing custom wordpress themes and plugins using PHP, Wordpress hooks, Wordpress filters, etc.
Experience in optimizing Wordpress sites’ performance as per Google PageSpeed tools, along with other performance analysis tools.
Current and ongoing knowledge of latest UI/UX design trends and clean user interfaces.

Description

As a software developer on our team you are responsible for:

Development, optimization, and customization of Wordpress sites using custom or pre-made themes.
Development of custom theme functionality using php on Wordpress sites.
Integration of content into Wordpress themes.
Front-end interface development of Wordpress themes using HTML/JS/CSS/PHP.
Wordpress plugin integration and development.
Implementation of SEO best practice.

Education

Bachelors of Science, CS or equivalent.

Additional Requirements

Experience in Selenium, AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Azure a definite plus.

Additional Success Factors: Self-motivated, independent, and proactive Ability to work well in a collaborative, highly cross-functional environment. Communicate well with others in both written and verbal forms. Self-directed and able to manage your time effectively.
