Key responsibilities may include (but are not limited) the following.
- Ensure compliance with external and internal HSE requirements.
- Working knowledge of implementing and maintaining HSE management systems, e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
- Conduct and record facility HSE inspections, risk assessments & fire safety gap analysis in accordance with procedures.
- Develop, train & lead emergency response teams at site.
- Conduct HSE training & different drills as identified in training need assessment.
- Training, overseeing, scheduling assignments and daily workflow of staff.
- Assess the effectiveness of all fire detection & protection equipment, identifying gaps, planning & rectifying all observations.
- Follow up of compliance with HSE legal requirements in the plant.
- Follow up of the HSE reporting system of the plant.
- Proficient in accident investigations, HSE trainings and workshops.
- Effective management of scrap & hazardous waste in accordance with local laws.
- Liaise with governmental entities (Safety laws, Environmental affair agency, and civil defense.
