We are seeking a Senior HR Officer / Coordinator with excellent knowledge and experience. This is an Islamabad-based contractual position with full-time dedication. The Senior HR Officer / Coorddinator provides practical, timely support, advice, and direction to staff on the full life cycle of HR activities. This position is the key point of contact for all employees and serves to facilitate the timely engagement for HR best practice activities. This position is Generalist in its nature.

Activities and support include payroll preparation, HR policy and procedures interpretation, donor and legal regulations as well as providing support on employee relations as well as compensation and benefits practices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing personnel policies and procedures in compliance with standard HR practices, laws, and regulations.
  • Develop, review, revise, and streamline general HR procedures and relevant forms.
  • Finalize JDs of vacant positions in consultation with the department heads.
  • Advertise vacancies on specific job portals.
  • Long-listing of CVs in consultation with the functional managers.
  • Interview scheduling and communication with candidates.
  • Conduct new employees’ induction/orientation.
  • Prepare employee contracts.
  • Finalise payroll in consultation with Finance Department.
  • Maintain a consolidated HRIS database of all the employees.
  • Coordinate and collect data of field staff from Field Operations Officers.
  • Monitor biometric attendance as required.
  • Maintain and update the leave database.
  • Coordinate with the service provider for Health Insurance; submit and follow up on claims.
  • Update the online EOBI system on monthly basis and make the payments accordingly.
  • Coordinate with all the line managers and functional managers to ensure timely completion and submission of probation/annual appraisals.
  • Maintain a performance evaluation database.
  • Ensure the maintenance of all relevant records, including personal files, Health Insurance records, and EOBI records.
  • Meet internal and external audit standards.
  • Ensure adherence to requirements of relevant legislation.
  • Any other responsibility as assigned by the supervisor or head of office.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in HR, preferably with a HR certification.
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a donor-funded environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Urdu.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT, Visio) as well as capacity to operate in relevant databases, including HRIS etc.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to meet targets within tight deadlines.
  • Result-oriented team player and leader.
  • Sound judgment, flexibility, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Integrity, transparent, persistence, initiative, and quick learner.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Team player to solve professional problems.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, when needed.
