Senior Program Officer / Coordinator

We are seeking a Senior Program Officer / Coordinator with excellent knowledge and experience. This is an Islamabad-based contractual position with full-time dedication. The Senior Program Officer / Coordinator will support the technical oversight of program management and implementation of the project. S/he is also responsible for providing support in the development and evaluation of program activities.

Job Responsibilities:

Regularly coordinate with Area Managers and field staff to ensure quality projects progress in a timely manner and within the prescribed budgets.
Plan and organize program activities with the relevant field staff as outlined in the project documents.
Ensure smooth running of the Projects activities in respective districts by providing technical back-stopping to field staff.
Ensure support in overall district related project advocacy.
Receive and review regular periodic project reports from the project/field staff and provide feedback to them.
Ensure timely release of funds to field offices and effective utilization.
Ensure preparation and submission of quarterly/biannual progress reports of the program/projects.
Participation in planning and management of relevant training activities, and providing necessary support to the management.
Assist the Program Development Team in resource mobilization and other program-related initiatives.
Responsible for overall quality and management of related projects in designated region.
Promote the work of the organization at various forums.
Undertake activities that contribute to the smooth running of the Program.
Any other responsibility as assigned by the supervisor or head of office.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences, preferably with a relevant certification.
A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in a donor-funded environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Urdu.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT, Visio) as well as capacity to operate in relevant databases.
Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
Ability to meet targets within tight deadlines.
Result-oriented team player and leader.
Sound judgment, flexibility, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity.
Integrity, transparent, persistence, initiative, and quick learner.
Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Team player to solve professional problems.
Can work under pressure and independently.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally, when needed.
