PURPOSE:

The Vice-Principal will be the head of the concern section and within a campus and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the section under the direct supervision of the Campus Principal

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ADMINISTRATIVE:

  • To uphold the educational policies and integrate the common core government / provincial authorities’ guidelines into each class curriculum.
  • To create benchmarks for students and teachers to track progress towards those goals.
  • To develop programs that improve teacher performance and assist students in understanding class material better.
  • To meet teachers and students on a weekly basis in order to inspect the requirements for improvement.
  • To inspect students’ performances through random class visits, teachers teaching methodologies.
  • To follow up with the curriculum guidelines provided by the government / provincial authorities.
  • To establish curriculum guidelines in collaboration with the campus director and ensure that guidelines are adhered to.
  • To handle emergencies and school crises and ensure a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and visitor (i.e., implementing hygiene rules)
  • To develop an annual plan under the supervision of the campus director.
  • To provide leadership for the implementation of standard operating procedures and policies set by the head office.
  • To take a minimum 12-hour class in a week.
  • To collaborate with teachers, parents, and students to generate better options and suggestions with respect to providing the best education facilities for students.
  • Provide guidance and counsel to students in their academic goals.
  • Oversee budgeting and grant proposals, and determine budget allocations for items such as supplies, materials, staff, and equipment.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of post-qualification teaching experience at the Middle levels- International Standards, Proven track record in a reputed education system, demonstrating excellence in teaching and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • A postgraduate degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a relevant field.
  • Teaching certification and relevant professional development.
  • Familiarity with the Student Learning Outcomes (International Standards Cambridge/ Oxford) System is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of educational policies, curriculum development, and assessment practices.
  •  Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of educators and administrative staff.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A forward-thinking and innovative mindset to contribute to the continuous improvement of academic programs. Ability to align educational practices with organizational goals and foster a culture of excellence.
  • Knowledge of Cambridge and Oxford and POS regulations and compliance requirements. Experience in ensuring adherence to educational standards and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to make informed decisions that positively impact students' outcomes and institutional success.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Experience in fostering a collaborative and inclusive school culture.
