As a graduate of Masters in Mass Communication majoring in Public Relations Advertising and with an academic experience of fellowships in Germany for majors of public policy International Relations, I realize that what I have done so far has brought me closer to my career goals of becoming a Policy maker. Therefore it is my desire to work at Punjab Saaf Paani Company. My intended concentrations focus on quantitative analysis using empirical methods and strategic management in the context of public administration.
During my academic years, I had devoted myself in obtaining a solid academic background in social policy making in fields of education, political/social campaigns. Throughout my graduate degree I have extensively contributed in English Dailies (Express Tribune co-partner of International Herald and DAWN newspaper). My areas of interest have been developmental and cultural issues. My articles brought government/private schools, colleges and universities to Governments attention. I enhanced the focus of newspapers to be both conventional and non-conventional with relevance to progressive development. It was taken up as a trend by another English daily Pakistan Today, before my contribution in 2010, similar educational issues did not make it to the city pages very often.
My articles in (Arab media, business sector IT industry) contributed to strengthen political and economic awareness of online readers. I managed eleven news portals highlighting global economy, Sukuk markets, effects of Arab Spring, foreign relations and global conflicts for news portals of Arab Media. As senior editor my online research laid basis to create, manage and archive news footage and articles of global importance.
My personal blog serves as an opinion, influence and understanding of national and social issues. I document social movements based on issues like minority genocide in Pakistan and I also comment on social behavior and practices of general public as a blogger. All of which I believe to be very beneficial to my future academic career in public policy.
In order to promote my capacity of understanding Public Policy, itself I have used my Scholarship at Erfurt University, in 2013 on Social Media Political Communication and Scholarship for Research also at Erfurt University and Willy Brandt School of Public Policy in 2013 on Stocktaking Social Media Project to enhance my understanding of Political Economy, International Relations, Social Development and Policy making. After accomplishing a firsthand exposure to the broad studies of Public Policy and Governance through Erfurt University and Willy Brandt School in Germany, I developed an understanding of using theory to address key areas of business and market research. After my graduation I presented my research article on the Role of social media and political scenario of Pakistan at Heinrich Bll Organization in Islamabad, Pakistan. The symposium was funded by DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). But in order to expand my practices I wish to create and be part of existing networks that understand and implement theories and research to find the origin and solution for outlining progressive development of local industry in Pakistan.
I believe it is very important and imperative for Pakistani Public Policy professionals to enhance their international exposure in research in PPGG. Only after having such a base, we would be able to suggest solutions. To take this initiative further I would like to work for Punjab Saaf Paani Company to help resolve social issues in Pakistan.I am confident that my potential will be developed to its full capacity if I would be working in PSSC as Senior Manager Planning and Research. I believe policy analysis can identify and boost Punjab Saaf Paani Companys work further on rational grounds.
