Over 15 years, I have honed my skills and garnered invaluable experience with esteemed organizations such as Plan Pakistan, Save the Children, American Refugee Committee, Plan International, and the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD).
My professional journey reflects a proven track record in leading and managing projects across diverse thematic areas, including Health, WASH, Livelihoods, Women and Youth Empowerment, and Child Rights. I have also played a key role in strategic communications, donor reporting, and proposal development, engaging effectively with prominent stakeholders such as USAID, AUSAID, World Vision International (WVI), the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), the United Nations (UN), and the European Union (EU).

Project: Development of a Halal certification body and Start up of Halal Education and Training Programs under the umbrella of Minhaj University Lahore
As a Operations Manager, in Minhaj Halal Pakistan (A project of Minhaj ul Quran International and Minhaj University Lahore), my major responsibilities included to look after all the operations of organization under the instructions of Management to develop a new organization and start various schemes of halal certification and education program. This was a contract based agreement for 2 years which was extended by the Management.
I participated in SECP registration of this organization, hired team, organized various trainings and capacity building workshops, conducted mega events, initiated research and education in new field of study and developed coordination mechanism of newly developed organization with other stakeholders. The program successfully started its operations and organization established business. Agreements were signed with consultants and stakeholders including university and other individuals and organizations, formal halal education program started at university level first time in Pakistan.
I delivered following major tasks.
• Registration of organization with SECP and coordination with PNAC and PHA for accreditation and certification
• Conducted trainings for HACCP and Halal Lead Auditor Course
• Organized conferences, events, and seminars for promotion of rapidly growing new sector

Project: EAC – Education Above All (Access to Education for One Million Out of School Children in Pakistan)
As a Senior Project Officer, in American Refugee Committee, my major responsibilities included community mobilization and capacity building assignments under this project. This project of Access to Education for One Million Out of School Children in Pakistan was funded by EAC Qatar.
I participated in community mobilization and capacity building activities of project in Islamabad – ICT and Attock regions where I coordinated with Education department for mobilization and training activities in schools for enrollment campaign, teachers’ trainings and coordination with other stakeholder local NGOs, Government line departments and RSPNs for establishing non formal education component under EAC project.
From February 2018 to September 2018, I delivered following major tasks.
• Coordinated with education departments of District Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Attock for Teachers Training and developed need assessment report for ARC to provide teachers training for strengthening enrollment campaign in underperforming union councils.
• Coordinated with Government line departments and local NGOs for promotion of non formal education and establishment of non formal education centers in selected union councils. Participated in assessment of IP selection and signing MoU agreement with Government line departments and selected IP (2 local NGOs) for non formal education.

In this role, I was responsible for donor communication, reporting, proposal development, and implementing communication strategies across multiple field projects. I developed concept notes and project proposals, coordinated closely with the head office on advocacy and media assignments, and built the reporting and communication capacity of project teams. I led the creation of IEC materials and produced multimedia content including documentaries, success stories, and beneficiary video messages. I also organized FM radio campaigns to amplify project outreach, supported project teams in developing implementation plans, log-frames, and M&E tools, and facilitated MoUs with local institutions. My work contributed to securing funding for solar electrification (WV Korea) and youth empowerment (WV US), and received donor recognition for two impactful documentaries on sexual and reproductive health and out-of-school girls in Muzaffargarh. I also developed quarterly and annual field reports for multiple donors and supported strategy development at the area level.

Project: HSBC/Water Aid (ODF Muzaffargarh Project)
As a Project Manager in AGAHE Muzaffargarh, I was reporting to the CEO and Director Projects in Lahore. In Muzaffargarh my major responsibilities included project implementation in all Tehsils and coordination with Government line departments.
Led key components of WASH programming in District Muzaffargarh, including the successful execution of baseline studies and KAP surveys for hygiene promotion. Developed strong linkages with district authorities such as PHED, TMA, and other relevant departments, and facilitated the formation of the WASH District Support Group to strengthen multi-stakeholder engagement. Spearheaded community mobilization efforts and implemented CLTS (Community-Led Total Sanitation) across all tehsils of the district. Ensured timely and quality donor reporting, while also coordinating WASH advocacy through the District Forum. Strengthened the capacity of local partner organizations and engaged local media to amplify WASH messaging. Additionally, prepared IEC materials on CLTS and hygiene practices and played a key role in establishing sanitation marketing entrepreneurs to promote sustainable sanitation solutions.

Project: Plan Milk Value Chain Project (PMVCP)
As Institutional Development Officer in Plan International (INGO) in Vehari, I was assigned tasks of capacity building of IPs and local community leaders under the Plan Milk Value Chain (livelihood generation project) of Plan International in all Tehsils of District Vehari.
Strengthened 100 existing Farmer Milk Cooperatives under the milk value chain enterprise by enhancing their operational capacity and institutional development. Played a key role in registering and institutionalizing these groups into a formal district-level support organization—Rural Communities Farmers Welfare Organization (RCWO). Successfully monitored and provided oversight for RCWO's funded project under PMVCP, covering milk collection, corporate-level sales, financial disbursement to farmers, and capacity building of grassroots-level cooperatives. Contributed to the development and implementation of internal policies to ensure smooth operations of RCWO. Facilitated strategic partnerships, enabling RCWO to secure contracts with major corporate buyers including Adam Milk, Gourmet, and Millac. Additionally, established strong liaison between RCWO and district authorities, further expanding its support network and sustainability.

Project: Disaster Emergency Committees WASH and Livelihood Response in Upper Sindh (2010 Floods Early Recovery Phase Project)
As a project coordinator for this project of Livelihood and WASH interventions under the 2010 flood emergency response of World Vision International and Disaster Emergency Committee (UK) I was looking after the project implementation in 3 districts of Sindh (Khairpur, Shikarpur and Sukkur).
During this tenure, I led the successful initiation of projects by signing MoUs with three district governments, followed by the development of detailed implementation plans for WASH and Livelihood interventions. These plans spanned across multiple districts and included high-scale activities such as cash-for-work programs, infrastructure development, enterprise creation, community trainings, CLTS, kitchen gardening, hygiene promotion, children’s group formation, and CHAST (Child Hygiene and Sanitation Training) implementation. I supervised a team of over 50 staff members, ensuring the smooth execution of cash transfers, livelihood trainings, and infrastructure schemes. Regular coordination with the WASH and Livelihood Clusters of UNOCHA was maintained to align with broader humanitarian strategies. I also developed and implemented accountability mechanisms, submitted quarterly and annual donor reports, and organized knowledge-sharing platforms including lessons learned workshops, seminars, international day events, and community engagements. A notable achievement was the successful submission and approval of a new proposal focusing on community children's engagement through CHAST. Additionally, I facilitated the formation of District WASH Groups in all three districts and monitored funding allocated to local partners for livelihood training and enterprise development activities.

Programme: District Literacy Programme of Adult Literacy Centers
As District Programme Manager for the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) in Dera Ghazi Khan, I served from April to September 2011. During this period, I led the District Literacy team, overseeing the management and monitoring of approximately 90 Women Adult Literacy Centers (ALCs) across all tehsils of the district. My responsibilities included staff training on new ALC formation protocols, community mobilization, and the development of IEC materials to support literacy initiatives. However, with the onset of the devastating 2010 floods—which severely affected all target areas under the literacy program—the regular activities were temporarily halted. I actively transitioned into leading the district's flood emergency response for NCHD, coordinating the relocation and support of ALCs in affected areas. I facilitated the establishment of relief camps for impacted communities, monitored medical and food supply distributions in severely hit union councils such as Haji Ghazi and Samina, and ensured continued community engagement during this crisis. My dual role in literacy promotion and humanitarian response underscored a strong ability to adapt and lead in both development and emergency contexts.

1350 illiterate rural communities’ women learned reading and writing (Urdu and basic Math’s calculation) in first phase.
Provision of continuous food in 4 IDPs (since 2010 flood affected target areas) during second phase.
NCHD Dera Ghazi Khan started flood emergency response under the close liaison with DCO Dera Ghazi Khan and UNOCHA and provided Food and managed camps of UC Haji Ghazi and Samina.
Project: Pakistan Initiative for Mothers and Newborns – IMNCH (PAIMAN)
As a Community Mobilization Assistant with Save the Children in District Vehari, I contributed to Pakistan’s first Integrated Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (IMNCH) initiative under the PAIMAN project. Working closely with the National Lady Health Workers (LHW) Program, I played a vital role in community mobilization efforts, forming a crucial link between the health system and local communities. My responsibilities included training LHWs and LHW committees on key topics such as family planning, reproductive health, and the introduction of contraceptive methods. I actively engaged with Basic Health Units (BHUs) and Rural Health Centers (RHCs) to enhance service delivery and facilitated the implementation of the Partnership Defined Quality (PDQ) approach to bridge gaps between communities and healthcare providers. Additionally, I organized community meetings, seminars, and local events to raise awareness and mobilize support for maternal and newborn health. I regularly prepared and submitted daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for internal use and donor review. A key achievement during this tenure was the successful adaptation of a simplified version of Save the Children’s PDQ model, which proved effective in the field. I also led collaborative efforts with the District Health Department and other NGOs to conduct large-scale community and awareness events, contributing to the project’s visibility and impact.

Social Development Programs as IP with Plan International:
As a Community Development Facilitator with RASTI in District Vehari, I was responsible for community mobilization across all tehsils under three long-term development programmes funded by Plan International, implemented through the Child-Centered Community Development (CCCD) approach. My work spanned the health and education sectors, focusing on grassroots empowerment. I led the formation and capacity building of 55 Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), supporting them in developing their Village Development Plans. I trained 55 Children’s Forums on Child Rights (CRC) and regularly conducted follow-up meetings to strengthen their engagement in community development. Under Plan Pakistan’s Primary Health Care Programme, I facilitated the establishment and training of 55 Village Health Committees focused on maternal and newborn care. Additionally, I played an active role in establishing 33 Early Childhood Development Centers for children under the age of five. I contributed to the development of IEC materials on CRC and organized numerous community-based activities, including meetings, seminars, video shows, and health melas involving children, women, and men from rural communities. These initiatives aimed to foster inclusive participation and raise awareness around child health, rights, and early development.
