A premier Non- Government Policy Think-tank institute which produces policy and knowledge to enhance the capacity and making informed policy decision is looking for following positions.
POSITION OBJECTIVES
To develop, write, edit and produce quality policy content/products for multiple audiences, especially policy makers, parliamentarians, private sector and media reflecting evidence-based research conducted by the organization. The content will be development for digital and other traditional platforms.
Core Responsibilities and Skills
Write and develop some unique content that gets digital space as exclusive stuff- get attention of the search engines- such as google and others
Write, develop, edit, and publish policy content/products and creative copy for policy platforms. The policy products include: policy briefs, policy recommendation, policy briefing notes, success stories, policy messages, speeches of key influential, Op-Eds and similar other formats.
Create messages and outreach material to promote services and brand of the organization
Write and edit policy content with clarity to engage multiple audiences of the organization
Collaborate with research teams and build understanding of their content development needs to highlight their key research messages to be used in policy products
Have clear understanding of policy, policy propositions and development, policy influencing and stakeholders’ engagement
Have policy content writing/development, editing and communications skills with command on both English and Urdu languages, content management, and HTML and other digital skills to publish and edit content across various digital and traditional platforms.
Have creative writing skills with the ability to craft a story to support a policy outreach strategy
Have ability to communicate complex topics in an understandable piece of writing for multiple audiences
Collaborate with other writers, research fellow and associates in the organization to search for new policy themes which may interest policy makers and media
Have website content and traffic management skills
Have update and insightful knowledge on policy issues relevant to the organization to cater to its audiences in the policy arena. This can come from keeping an eye on major developments in policy sector
To assist English Editorial Board and the Web Development team, as and when required
Deliver at least 1 training session related to your area of expertise organized by the organization
Any other job-related assignment given by the Executive Director or his/her nominee
Education
M.Phil./MS/Master’s in Social Sciences, preferably public policy, political science, Mass communications, Journalism
Courses in languages, digital technology and other professional disciplines supporting this role will add value to candidature
