Role Outline

The Programme  Manager will play a pivotal role in our team.His key focus will be Resource mobilization, fundraising, proposal drafts, managing relationships with partners and other stakeholders, identifying and facilitating key advocacy opportunities and communicating with supporters, donors and the wider organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and advise senior management on strategic planning with trusted feedback
  • Collaborate with the programme teams in developing the strategies, operational plan and budget.
  • Fundraising planning and implementation including identifying funding sources, establishing strategies to approach funders, submitting proposals and related documentation.
  • Develop, manage and lead relationships with partners/donors and other key stakeholders, that can be leveraged to deliver results
  • Oversee the development of new initiatives, both with external and internal stakeholders/partners
  • Organize and provide assistance in organizing any fundraising events for the organization
  • Identify and inform the Director Programmes and CD of donor opportunities relevant to the organizational thematic areas.
  • Undertake online research and build contacts with potential individual donors and raise funds for the activities of the organization through an annual/bi-annual work plans.
  • Prepare content and communications to external stakeholders and partners on the impact of our programmes and work.
  • Increase potential funding opportunities from the stakeholders/partners.
  • Leading and collaborating in the preparation of pitches and proposals.
  • Facilitate and manage meetings with stakeholders/partners (external) for the growth of organizational networking.
  • Provides technical support to the Programme Development team in proposal development
  • Submission of written reports to the senior management in all related matters of importance
  • Ensure there is a clear communication strategy which maximizes opportunities for advocacy, trust and builds positive reputation.
  • Lead your team to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
  • Operate as a positive role model for the culture of the organization, principled and acts with integrity

Required Skill Set:

  • Strong skills in partnership development and stakeholder management
  • Specific knowledge of and experience in implementing projects in the development sector and training driven projects
  • Demonstrated experience in securing and managing funding partnerships
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to successfully represent and advocate on behalf of organization including in a cross cultural context
  • Demonstrate competency in strategic planning and business development.
  • Working knowledge of performance/operations metrics.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Works effectively and cooperatively with others; establishing and maintain good working relationships.
  • Actively participates as a member of the team to move the organization towards the completion of goals

Qualification & Experience:

  • Relevant degree either in Finance, Business Management or another related field
  • 06 plus year of experience in the relevant role, preferably in social development sector.
