General Position Summary:
The Project Officer (COM) has overall responsibility for day to day implementation of project community mobilization activities in the community for selection of trainees both for formal and non-formal education for enrolment in Pakistani schools at project locations. Community Mobilization Officer will work closely both with project management and support staff (including finance, administration and program) in organization to ensure that community Mobilization activities are implemented according to schedule, budget and required quality. The CMO reports directly to Project Manager. The CMO will assist the Project Manager in outlining a strategic plan for the implementation of project including identifying methods of operation for effective programming and maximum results.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Project Manager for preparing the annual community mobilization plan for Catchment areas, keeping in view the needs of the community and by means acceptable to the community required for identification and selection of beneficiaries both for formal and non-formal education program.
- Coordinate with Project Officers for planning and implementing community based activities of education and protection component.
- Responsible for coordination with IRCH to identify 02 Pesh Imams each in 16 identified project community areas of Quetta and Pishin districts for training at IRCH.
- Organize training of Pesh Imams at IRCH and supervise evening prayers Daris on monthly basis in each of 16 locations through 32 religious leaders
- Endure conduction of Local Education Council meetings (LEC) in twenty-eight girls and Boys High schools
- Establishing a network of community leaders, members, groups and committees for increased attendance in evening prayers.
- Ensure necessary arrangements for monthly awareness sessions both for men and women
- Responsible to coordinate with Community Education Committees of 13 locations for conducting the CECs meetings per workplan.
- Develop partnerships with local CBOs and NGOs for improving community mobilization.
- Conduct Community Gatherings in project locations at least one per month
- Responsible to organize the activities of World Refugee Day and 16 days activism activities both at school and community level.
- Work closely with MEL to ensure necessary data and indicators related this component of the project is being tracked.
- Follow all SOPs on Safety and Security while conducting the activities in the assigned areas of catchment of Population Schools, mosques / community/ office)
- Attend all refresher training sessions and meetings with other members of the project as required.
- Conduct him/her self professionally and personally in such a manner so as to bring credit to organization and in no way jeopardize its humanitarian efforts.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.

Works Directly With: Program Team, Operations, and Finance and MEL departments
