IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Ensure revenue measurement, recognition, and disclosure in accordance with applicable International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Ensure accuracy of system generated reports for revenue recognition.
  • Define rules for billing & collection for system-based revenue
  • Monitor billing & recovery from  customers.
  • Ensure application of prevailing  Sales Tax/ FED/WHT and accounting thereof.
  • Negotiate, execute, and implement the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with banks for quick collection.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of digital collection channels (including mobile financial services) and manage their related system development.  
  • Ensure sales channel account management, system development and related support.
  • Ensure accurate processing and recording of commissions and incentives.
  • Monitor preparation of regular reconciliations of collection and disbursement accounts.

HOW CAN YOU EXPRESS YOUR TALENT

  • Conduct supervision of accounting of revenue related activities for billing, adjustment & collection in SAP (FICO) in respect of transactions originated from billing system (B&CC) and other sources
  • Ensure payment of charges in respect of bills collection / services rendered by various banks
  • Ensure reporting and reconciliation of revenue, receivables, collections and adjustments.
  • Ensure the timely payment to third party service providers
  • Supervise reconciliation of billing systems and ERP on monthly basis
  • Supervise monthly management presentation of revenue
  • Supervise report for aging of receivables.
  • Follow up for recovery of outstanding receivables
  • Analyze excess-billed, under-billed and un-billed charges
  • Develop/ review Service level agreements (SLAs) with banks for stub-punching and bill collection services
  • Oversee B&CC related change requests for modifications and new requirements in the systems
  • Develop and Review SOPs and manuals
  • Review credit monitoring policy and procedure
  • Coordinate with ERP and B&CC teams in handling / resolving operational issues and take part in implementations of SAP's (FI/CO, CO/PA, CM, BI, PI) , B&CC (RS), Business Intelligence; Micro strategy / Teradata.
  • Monitor and evaluate reporting employees.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of digital collection channels (including mobile financial services) and manage their related system development.  
  • Ensure sales channel account management, system development and related support.
  • Ensure accurate processing and recording of commissions and incentives.
  • Monitor preparation of regular reconciliations of collection and disbursement accounts.  

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  1. Qualification
  • Chartered Accountant (FCA)
  • Cost & Management Accountant (FCMA)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  1. Experience:
  • Experience in the telecom industry having command over revenue accounting, reporting, analysis, channel management & mobile financial services.
  • Experience in handling a large and diverse team.
  • In-depth exposure to ERP, revenue, billing, and other financial systems.
  1. Competencies:
  • Experience in compiling statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses
  • Knowledge of government policies, company law, procedures, and regulations for accounting & ethics
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data
  • Change management to handle the regular system developments and changes.
  • Business acumen for a good grip on the telecom business.
  • Strong communication skills for handling communication with other departments and sales channel.
  • Analytical skills for effective revenue analysis.
  • Leadership and team management skills for managing a large and diverse team.
  • Strong presentation and dispute resolution skills.
