Azure DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise in Azure DevOps tools and practices, with hands-on experience in creating CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and utilizing Azure cloud services. This role will be critical in enabling efficient software delivery processes, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring secure and scalable deployments across multiple environments.

Responsibilities:

DevOps Tools & Practices:

• Proficient use of Azure DevOps Services, including Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, and Test Plans.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using both YAML and Classic UI.
• Version control using Git, including branching strategies, pull requests, and conflict resolution.
• Implement and manage release pipelines with multi-stage approvals.
• Configure pipeline tasks for applications built on .NET Core, Node.js, Python, and Java.
• Integrate tools such as SonarQube, Azure Key Vault, and Service Connections.
• Securely manage secrets and variables across development, staging, and production environments.

Deployment Experience:

• Deploy applications to:
• Azure App Services (Web Apps, APIs)
• Azure Virtual Machines (Windows/Linux)
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Azure Function Apps (Serverless)

Infrastructure as Code & Automation:

• Automate infrastructure provisioning using:
• Terraform
• ARM Templates
• Bicep
• Develop and manage scripts using Azure CLI and PowerShell in pipelines.
• Monitor CI/CD pipeline performance, configure alerts, and generate dashboard reports.

Azure Cloud Expertise:

Compute Services:

• Deploy and manage Azure App Services, including deployment slots and scaling strategies.
• Provision and configure Azure VMs with network security groups (NSGs), load balancers, and custom scripts.
• Configure and scale Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, with Helm-based deployments and ACR integration.
• Develop and manage Azure Functions for event-driven serverless architectures.

Storage & Networking:

• Experience with Azure Blob Storage, File Shares, and Queues.
• Manage Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, and NSG configurations.
• Set up Application Gateway with WAF (Web Application Firewall).
• (Optional) Work with Azure Front Door or Traffic Manager for global load balancing.

Identity & Security:

• Integrate applications with Azure Active Directory using RBAC, Service Principals, and Managed Identities.
• Manage secrets, certificates, and access policies through Azure Key Vault.

Monitoring & Logging:

• Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for performance monitoring, diagnostics, and logging.

Linux/Unix Expertise:

• Strong working knowledge of Linux and Unix-based systems for application deployment and infrastructure management.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Unix system administration, including process management, file systems, and user management.
• Proficiency in writing and debugging Bash and Unix shell scripts.
• Experience in troubleshooting application and system-level issues on Linux/Unix environments.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role with a focus on Azure.
• Strong hands-on experience in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code and scripting.
• Familiarity with containerization, Kubernetes, and serverless computing.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or equivalent.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with security best practices and compliance on Azure.
