Buying Officer

Buying team is responsible for online purchasing of used and new cars through auction similar in working to yahoo. We participate in over 70 different auctions across Japan via satellite link and do Live Bidding in real time for vehicles. Each member of buying team can view, inspection, select and sort anywhere from 2,000 to 20,000 vehicle every day. This job requires constant concentration and presence of mind over long stretch of time. Product knowledge, memory, a sharp observation and mental awareness with a high degree of interest in cars is an absolute must of all buying team members. This job has flexible hours as per auction timings and holidays are concurrent with auction schedules for the same.

1. Ability to following buying plan

2. Number of units purchased

3. Average cost of units purchased

4. Average profitability for units purchased

5. Weighted index of auction attended to units purchased

6. Weighted index of Countries targeted to units purchased

7. Number of cancellation

8. Number of disapproved units

9. Memorization of vehicle purchase data and specification

10. Accuracy of Data entry

11. Auction research for Market Prices and new vehicles specification study

Important Note:

Willing to do at least 5 years (subject to visa renewal) with the company under legal binding contract. In case of breach of contract, the candidate may be held liable to reimburse training costs (500,000 ~ 1,000,000 yen).
No criminal record or affliction with any youth organization or politically parties what so ever.
English language skill necessary to communicate with our overseas client and Japanese staff.
Learning potential for a new language, high level of concentration and a good memory for work training is a must.
Comfortable working long hours, up to 10-12 hours daily during peak seasons.
Ability to function and responsibly socialize in a foreign environment.
Culturally sensitive, non-racist and respectful of local Japanese customs and way of doing the thing in general.
