Responsibilities/Job Role

Hands-on development: analyse product specifications, design implementations, write code and rapidly deliver Android app feature designs
Contribute technical ideas and suggestions to enhance the direction of the product
Recognise UI/UX deficiencies and highlight and implement effective solutions
Write test cases and Work within an agile team
Maintain build systems and write unit tests
Review analytics and performance metrics to draw conclusions and drive change

Key skills and experience

Product-focused Android application development experience
Impressive portfolio of consumer facing high-performance Android applications available in the Marketplace
Advanced Android SDK / Java skills
Strong knowledge of Android API capabilities at different levels, framework components and lifecycles
Experience in developing custom UI controls highly desirable
Strong knowledge of implementing UI layouts for different screen sizes
Experienced in developing multithreaded applications.
Experience of implementing background services
Integration with Restful / Web Services from Mobile devices
Experience of implementing Google Play Services APIs
Good understanding of design patterns & Object Orientated Programming
Sound computer science foundations: algorithms, data structures, concurrency and threading
Strong in software engineering, including design, architecture, test automation, deployment automation
Version control such as Git, SVN

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Android developer with a deep appreciation of lean engineering practices and a passion for delivering a brilliant UX.

Radius Interactive Pvt. Ltd. is a software development company. It has 3 branches setup in Bahrain, U.K. and Pakistan. The Pakistan office is also the head office and provides cost effective overseas development solutions to its European and middle-east branches. Radius Interactive has two major operational arms, the game development unit and the GIS unit. As an independent games developer, we are working with a number of European clients on 2D and 3D games for the PC and mobile handhelds (windows mobile and symbian). We offer art content creation and programming services to our overseas clients. The technical staff is able to provide solutions for most of the platforms in the industry. We have delivered games on PC, handhelds and the web. Radius Interactive offers services that can transform a game idea from concept to realization. Our range of services include story boarding, character models, animations, technical design, proof of concept prototyping of game features, full scale implementation of the game engine and game logic. The GIS unit at Radius Interactive is especially focused on developing location aware solutions. Radius Interactive is working closely with a number of major Telcos for their first wave of creative and unique line of products. We are also in the process of digitizing the road network of Pakistan and have number of exciting applications lined up that will use this digital map. Some of the applications we are working on include an in-car navigation solution and a fleet management system.
