Our company is on the hunt for a talented and experienced director of sales to lead our sales department. We need a self-motivated professional with proven managerial experience and an outstanding track record in sales. In this position, you will be responsible for meeting our annual sales targets within assigned regions and accounts.
Your duties will include motivating our sales team, designing strategic sales plans, and assessing costs and competition. In addition to being an excellent communicator, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate exceptional negotiation and leadership skills.
Director of Sales Responsibilities:
1. Leading and motivating staff to improve customer service with clients.
2. Designing and implementing strategic plans to reach sales targets.
3. Working with customers to better understand their business needs and goals.
4. Find prospects and leads
5. Learn details about our products and services
6. Understand all the prospects needs, problems or wants
7. Explain how our solutions align with their pain points
8. Analyze current sales strategy and suggest solutions for improvement
9. Identify process bottlenecks
10. Meet with potential clients and act as their consultant
11. Recruit, hire and train new sales representatives
12. Investigate leads and find out about them as much as possible before contacting
13. Consult with sales and marketing team to ensure the efficiency
14. Identify most important sales KPIs
15. Track and monitor your work
16. Prepare and present reports when needed
17. Develop key relationships with clients
18. Develop long term sales goals
Sales Director Qualifications / Skills:
1. Master’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a relevant field.
2. A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
3. In-depth knowledge of telemarketing and digital marketing and best practices.
