Position Overview:

As a Business Development Manager for Alibaba Subscription Sales, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding the customer base by selling Alibaba subscriptions to businesses. Your primary focus will be on acquiring new clients and building strong relationships with potential customers. You will work closely with the sales team, marketing department, and senior management to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities:

New Business Acquisition:

Identify and target potential customers who can benefit from Alibaba's subscription services. Generate leads, prospect new clients, and engage in effective sales strategies to acquire new business.

Sales Strategy Development:

Develop and implement sales strategies to drive subscription sales and achieve revenue targets. Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to tailor approaches and positioning.

Relationship Building:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within target businesses. Establish trust, understand customer requirements, and provide effective solutions that meet their needs.

Product Knowledge:

Develop a deep understanding of Alibaba's subscription offerings, features, benefits, and value propositions. Articulate the value of subscriptions to potential customers and demonstrate how they can enhance their business operations and success.

Sales Presentations and Negotiations:

Deliver compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to potential customers. Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and other commercial aspects to secure new subscriptions.

Sales Pipeline Management:

Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurately forecast sales opportunities. Utilize CRM systems to track sales activities, manage customer interactions, and ensure timely follow-ups.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product, and customer support, to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless onboarding of new subscribers. Provide feedback and insights from the market to support product development and improvement.

Market Intelligence:

 Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics related to subscription services. Leverage this knowledge to identify new business opportunities and enhance sales strategies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in technology or subscription-based services.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce, online marketplaces, and digital business models.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
