Key Responsibilities:

Oversee warehouse operations.
Order testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements for machines.
Oversee the transportation of goods from production site to consumer or distributor
Develop and implement a logistics process.
Inventory goods that are ready for dispatch
Review and approve purchase orders.
Ship finished products.
Handle incoming raw materials.
Ascertain how much product to send to distributor in accordance with demand.
Monitor progress of major shipments to ensure receipt.
Direct the activities of logistics division.
Collaborate with marketing team to ensure that new products reach the right markets at the optimal time.
Ensure goods are stored properly and at the right temperature.
Decide appropriate quantities of items to stock.
Ensure inventory maintains optimal levels.
Take orders over the phone, Internet, or through email.
Negotiate contracts and prices where required.
Operating IT systems to manage timings, costs and stock levels
Analysing data to assess performance, discover logistical problems and devise plans for improvements
negotiating and agreeing contracts
planning for and negotiating technical difficulties
preparing paperwork for regulatory bodies
liaising with and managing staff and shifts
monitoring stock and managing waste
Ensuring health and safety standards are met.
