To be good at the job you need to have an innate ability (developed on with good training) to present things in a good light, the tenacity to keep going when you think something is of value, a genuine interest in people that really helps you understand them and the capacity to build strong, sustainable relationships.Sales and good service could be two key words to describe a great Recruiter. Add to that a huge amount of hard work in speaking to candidates and clients and following a process to make placements, and you have the essence of recruitment.Candidates for this role should enjoy and excel in building relationships with people from all walks of life, be an excellent communicator and genuinely enjoy helping people.

The ideal candidate should also have strong IT skills, be able to multitask effectively and not be afraid of change, as business is frequently in flux in this line of work.
Determined and self-motivated applicants are a must, with previous experience desirable in a target driven or customer service environment but not essential.
A genuine desire to succeed would be the ideal ingredients for this position.
Exposure to the healthcare sector is desirable but by no means essential and a nursing or healthcare back ground would be welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities in this role include:

Identifying and placing the correct healthcare professionals for shifts, maximizing staff bookings by accurate entry of availability and bookings, maintaining and updating company databases and ensuring timely and accurate KPI delivery.
Assisting in the reduction of competing agencies being used by shared clients by taking a consultative approach with the client and temporary worker whenever possible, as well as managing out competing agencies where possible.
Liaise with clients on a regular basis, always showing a high degree of professionalism and courtesy, maintaining a customer-focused attitude to your duties always.
Assisting in ensuring all candidates are fully compliant and cleared to work before their first placement is awarded.
Working within the relevant company quality and recruitment policies and procedures and ensuring that every placement you make is fully qualified to deliver a high quality of care to affected patient.
