As a fashion designer at Saba Sulaiman, you will be responsible for creating and developing new designs for our clothing lines. You will work closely with our design team to conceptualize and sketch out ideas, select fabrics and trims, and create detailed technical drawings. Additionally, you will collaborate with our production team to ensure that the designs are translated accurately into finished products.
Responsibilities:
- Research current fashion trends and consumer preferences
- Create sketches and technical drawings of new designs
- Select appropriate fabrics, colors, and trims for each design
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate execution of designs
- Participate in fittings and make necessary adjustments to designs
- Stay updated with industry trends and attend fashion shows and exhibitions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field
- Proven experience of at least 4-5 years as a fashion designer, preferably in a similar role
- Strong sketching and technical drawing skills
- Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop
- Knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
