We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to support our manufacturing operations in the surgical instruments industry. The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of surgical manufacturing processes, strong coordination skills, and the ability to manage procurement and vendor relations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Production Manager in daily operations related to surgical manufacturing.
Handle procurement and purchasing of raw materials, components, and production supplies.
Regularly coordinate with existing and new vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
Conduct field visits to vendor sites, subcontractors, and suppliers to monitor progress and resolve operational issues.
Track inventory levels and manage purchase requisitions accordingly.
Support quality assurance by ensuring materials meet required manufacturing standards.
Maintain documentation related to procurement, vendor evaluation, and production support activities.
Communicate cross-functionally with the warehouse, production floor, and quality control teams.

Requirements:

Mandatory: Basic knowledge of surgical instrument manufacturing processes.
Preferred: Prior experience (2+ years) in surgical or medical device manufacturing or procurement.
Understanding of materials, tools, and processes used in surgical goods production.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel locally for vendor visits and on-site inspections.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and basic ERP systems is a plus.
