Why is this role important?

At Sadapay, we want to stay careful, alert and vigilant so that we can  avoid facilitating any illegal/criminal or  fraudulent transactions. A financial crime analyst is expected to safeguard the organization against financial crimes by  precisely identifying the fraudulent transaction behaviors from  customers, and reporting these behaviors  to the  relevant law enforcement agencies as and when required. The role will focus on maintaining goodwill between SadaPay and law enforcement agencies, as well as  keeping the company safe from penalties. 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic individual with a strong set of  analytical and communication skills. It is important for a financial crime analyst to pay close attention to details, since navigating high volumes of data to locate information is a crucial part of the job. . The ideal candidate will also be highly self motivated, and will remain determined during potentially challenging – and lengthy – investigations. Communication skills are a must for this role, since financial crime analysts will be working closely with other departments, and will also participate in cross functional meetings with law enforcement agencies.  

As a Financial Crime Analyst You Will:

• Be  expected to perform reviews on our existing user portfolio to ensure their financial activities follow all applicable regulations
• Look into leads to determine whether a financial crime might be occurring and flag transactions or customers that can be  identified  as posing a risk for financial crime
• Collaborate with law enforcement by sharing findings that can  be used as evidence. This evidence, in turn, will be used to build cases against individuals who commit financial crimes

What it takes to become a Sadanaut:

• At Least a Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Business/Finance/Economics
• The ability to write explanatory narrative-style synopses is required
• Working knowledge of Excel/Power BI/Tableau for data analysis
• The ability  to multitask and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and organization skills
• A detail oriented approach to all work and problem solving 
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work well in a team 

Preference will be given to candidates with the following attributes

• Certification in relevant field (ACAMS/ACFE etc)
• Knowledge of banking systems
• Familiarity with financial laws and regulations
