Join Experian as a Business Intelligence Developer and play a pivotal role in delivering client-facing standardized reports and insightful data analyses. You will utilize tools such as Tableau to create impactful reports while independently troubleshooting data issues and developing complex SQL queries. Your expertise in writing secure and maintainable Python code will support robust data solutions. Collaborating closely with engineering teams, you will help integrate new data sources and act as a bridge between business and technical stakeholders. This role also requires managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and providing on-call production support when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop standardized client reports using Business Intelligence tools like Tableau.
- Perform data profiling on source data with limited documentation.
- Troubleshoot data issues independently and conduct detailed data analyses.
- Write complex SQL queries to extract, summarize, and analyze data across platforms.
- Develop secure, stable, testable, and maintainable Python code with minimal defects.
- Conduct root cause analysis, propose solutions, and take ownership of issue resolution.
- Create and maintain report specifications and process documentation for data deliverables.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to discover and leverage new data sources.
- Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to deliver cross-functional reporting solutions.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Provide on-call production support as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Tableau development and support.
- At least 2 years’ experience in Business Objects report development and support.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Tableau Server administration.
- 3 years’ experience working with AWS data ecosystem components such as Redshift and S3.
- At least 2 years’ experience in Python programming.
- 3 years’ experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Management Information Systems (MIS), engineering, or related fields.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with both business partners and technical teams.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter capable of working independently and innovatively.
