Generating new product ideas and recipes.
Modifying and improving existing recipes.
Designing processes.
Liaising with marketing staff.
Ensuring that strict hygiene food safety standards are met.
Identifying and choosing products from suppliers, maintaining in-house Lab & its upkeep.
Testing and examining samples, writing reports, running trials of new products - either alongside or together with product development.
Coordinating launches of new products, building relationships with suppliers & customers.
Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale.
Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails.
Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business.
Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries.
Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets.
Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
Gathering market and customer information.
Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy.
Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions.
Checking the quantities of goods on display and in stock.
Making accurate, rapid cost calculations & providing customers with quotations.
Stock Management & Import/Export documentation knowledge will be a plus.
Team player, well-versed in English (spoken & written).
Able to travel within the country & outside (as & when required by Management).
