- Maintain high level of security within the hospital through implementation of hospital's safety and security procedures & plans.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, patients and employees by establishing and enforcing security policies and procedures and supervising the security to ensure the overall Safety of the Hospital.
- Develop & up grade organizational Safety and Security Management Plan in relation to the wide ranging contextual risk as per management directives.
- Develop and implement new procedures & plans with regards to safety and loss prevention, based on reports of incidents, accidents and other relevant information.
- Conduct time to time review and effectiveness of security procedures, safety programs & recommend improvements.
- Monitor, assess, develop and implement standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure up-to-date and effective ongoing activities of security and physical protection responsibilities, i.e. asset protection, workplace violence prevention, access control system, video surveillance & information protection.
- Periodically conduct assessment of Hospital security situation and identify emerging threats/risks.
- Develop and implement plans, procedures and material requirement to mitigate emerging threats/risks based on accurate assessment.
- Plan and execute deployment of Security staff on a daily basis, ensuring that all vulnerable areas are adequately manned & secured at all times.
- Undertake regular security rounds of IPDs, OPDs and other hospital areas on a daily basis and mitigate issues hampering smooth hospital operations.
- Ensure that maximum safety & security is provided to the patient, attendant and staff.
- Monitor staff, patients, and visitors at entry & exit points by carrying out regular & surprise rounds.
- Amicably handle & resolve patients, visitors, consultants and staff complaints related to security issues.
- Ensure that no form of violence and aggression, whether physical or verbal occurs. To mitigate, through training, deployment of guard and employment of tools specific to the department, all attempts to disturb the normal functioning of the institution.
- Ensure deployment of Security staff across Shifa Hospital and Shifa Hostels and provide security cover during seminars/ official functions.
- Develop & maintain liaison with various law enforcement agencies, including local police, for timely & swift response and help in controlling any emergency situation.
- Maintain liaison with NDMA, CDA, fire department and other relevant government functionaries for timely response and help in controlling any emergency situation.
- Assist HOD in management of Transport Fleet / Staff affairs
- Ensure complete transport fleet in roadworthy condition and required staff available
- Carry out assignments regarding legal /disputed matters involving third party and documentation / registration of vehicles and payment of annual taxes/ tokens
- Prepare maintenance bills / expenditure and keeps up-to date record of maintenance
- Prepare fuel and lubricants bills and their payment and keeps up to date record
- Keep record of spare parts replaced/ their disposal with MM stores as per policy
