QUALIFICATION

  • PhD from an HEC recognized University/Institution in the relevant field.

EXPERIENCE

  1. Minimum 15 years’ teaching/research experience in the HEC recognized University/post-graduate
  2. Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization OR
  3. Minimum 10 years’s post-PhD teaching/research experience in a recognized University/post-graudate
  4. Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
  5. Minimum 5 years’ experience as Dean/Director/Principal/Head of the Department with the rank of full
  6. professor in HEC recognized University/Institution.

NUMBER OF PUBLICATIONS

  • Minimum 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years in HEC recognized journals.
  • Preside at meetings of the faculty council of the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities of the University.
  • Exercise such administrative and financial powers as may be prescribed in respect of the departments under the purview of the faculty.
  • Make proposal for improvement of facilities in each department in consultation with the faculty.
  • Submit plans of development for introducing new disciplines in the faculty under prescribed manners.
  • Make decisions or recommendations on problems of teachers and students of the disciplines included in the faculty.
  • Look after the academic and administration affairs of the University / College.
  • Liaise and coordinate with Higher Education Commission (HEC), Government Departments,Professional Councils, National / International research organizations and Universities for research and grants / funding related to research.
  • Provide input on budgeting matters for academic development of the faculty in terms of human resource, academic infrastructure and research activities.
  • Ensure quality of the programs offered in consultation and coordination of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of the University.
  •  Promote industrial / institutional linkages of the faculty and the University with the local and foreign institutions and organizations
  •  Establish linages with local health services providing institutions / organizations for clinical training and internship of students as may be deemed necessary.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities on matters of compliance with the standards, inspections and; approval of programs as applicable.
  •  Act as member of the University Authorities / Committees / Sub-committees of the University as per provisions of the University Laws.
