About The Role:
Job Responsibilities
Provide hands-on development within a team of Data Engineers, BI Analysts, Data Architects etc. in a Scrum delivery model.
Building BI and Data Analytics reports and visualizations for a variety of business needs especially Supply Chain Systems.
Work with business leaders to define key metrics and build reporting to monitor and understand performance along those metrics
Build, support and maintain the data infrastructure / services required to transform, compile, mine and stitch data together from a wide variety of data repositories such as the ERP systems, Data Warehouse and BI Applications while developing new modeling techniques and tools for analytics and reporting.
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, performance, etc.
Conduct in-depth data analyses that lead to actionable insights, owning the entire process from ideation to execution to presentation of findings to stakeholders
Building data dashboards and advanced visualizations for Cloud Data Platforms utilizing data warehouses designed Star/Snowflake schema, De-Normalised structures and/or Data Vaults etc.
Job Requirements and Skills
B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
5+ years of overall work experience as BIAnalytics Engineer in data analysis, story-telling, data cleaning
Solid grasp of BI visualizations, especially those that best represent data and overall dashboard design. Very strong conceptual understanding of relational and object databases.
Should be experienced in building, supporting and maintaining the data infrastructure / services for the BI/Analytics Platform.
Expert knowledge of Snowflake Cloud, Data bricks & Azure tools and services centered around data and analytics (Data Lake, Data Factory, Azure Data bricks, Azure SQL etc.)
Experience in Databases/data warehouses like Teradata/ Postures/ Oracle / SQL Server etc.
Strong experience in one or more Data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView etc.
Fluidity with at least one modern scripting language (Python or R)
Ability to work at both a conceptual and detail level with strong statistical data analysis skills, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Efficient and effective communications skills with key business partners, tailored to client needs and expectations.
