The Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations of the restaurant. This includes maintaining financial records, preparing reports, managing payroll, monitoring budgets, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting senior management with financial insights to guide business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Monitor and control budgets, expenses, and cash flow.
2. Daily Accounting Operations:
- Record daily sales and expenses from POS and manual reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and cash deposits.
- Ensure timely payment of bills, invoices, and vendor accounts.
3. Payroll & Vendor Payments:
- Manage employee payroll, Advances and Loans
- Managing departments such as PESSI & EOBI
- Coordinating with Vendors/ Suppliers regarding Prices, Supplies and Check & Balances of Stock level and Inventories
- Managing Payable & receivables
5. Reporting & Analysis:
- Generate regular financial reports for management.
- Analyze cost trends (food cost, labor cost, wastage) and suggest cost-saving opportunities.
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
6. Coordination:
- Coordinate with internal departments like purchasing, kitchen, and operations to streamline accounting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or CA/ACCA/CMA preferred).
- 3–5 years of accounting experience in the food & beverage or hospitality sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, or local ERP systems).
- Strong understanding of restaurant cost controls and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Integrity and attention to detail.
