Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze system specifications and requirements
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
- Report bugs and errors to development teams with clear details and reproduction steps.
- Conduct smoke and sanity tests.
- Conduct complete regression tests to validate build stability.
- Test web applications and system APIs by sending various requests through the appropriate tool
- Assist Technical Support to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of the identified issue.
- Analyze results and deliver test summaries and recommendations to the product team
- Initiate and participate in efforts to improve group productivity and test effectiveness
- Collaborate with the agile development team effectively to achieve sprint goals timely.
- Execute basic level SQL queries to fetch and analyze data stored in the system DB.
Requirements:
- 6 months to 2 years of related experience
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
- Clear communicator (written and verbal) – to ensure the ability to write test plans and to communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders
- Be comfortable and adaptive working in a timeline-heavy environment
- Professional demeanor with the ability to multi-task
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Assist in building a culture of learning and continuous improvement for the team
- Self-motivated and work with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks is a plus
- Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. Zephyr, XRay etc.)
- Must have knowledge of testing websites and web applications.
