TAX Officer

The Tax Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate tax compliance and preparation while managing financial statements and performing essential accounting duties. This role involves maintaining detailed financial records, adhering to applicable tax laws, and supporting senior staff with complex tax matters and client interactions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of handling a variety of tax-related tasks, contributing to the overall financial stability and compliance of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file income tax, sales tax, and other statutory returns accurately and within deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations through thorough tax preparation and review.
- Maintain precise financial records and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Provide support to senior staff in resolving complex tax issues and participate in client meetings as required.
- Utilize accounting and tax software to enhance process efficiency and improve the accuracy of financial reporting.

Required Qualifications
- Completion of articles from a recognized Chartered Accountant (CA) firm.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CA Intermediate qualification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of tax laws, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting and tax software applications.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills to interpret and present financial information effectively.
