CAD Draftsman

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural CAD Designer specializing in Steel Structures to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise 3D models and detailed designs of steel structures using CAD software. Your expertise will extend beyond visual representation, as you will play a crucial role in analyzing the structural integrity and ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes.

Responsibilities:

Structural Design:

Utilize CAD software to develop detailed 3D models and designs for steel structures based on project specifications and engineering requirements.

Component Detailing:

Design and detail individual components of steel structures, considering material properties, dimensions, and other relevant factors.

Structural Analysis:

Conduct thorough structural analysis using specialized software to assess factors such as stress, strain, load distribution, and potential failure points.

Collaboration with Engineers:

Work closely with structural engineers and other team members to incorporate engineering principles into the design, address engineering challenges, and optimize structural performance.

Code Compliance:

Ensure that all steel structure designs comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Shop Drawings:

Produce detailed shop drawings, including plans, elevations, and sections, to guide fabrication and construction teams in implementing the steel structure designs.

Quality Assurance:

Implement quality assurance measures to guarantee accuracy and precision in all design and analysis processes.

Communication:

Effectively communicate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate feedback into designs and address project requirements.

Continuous Learning:

Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in structural design, and emerging technologies to enhance design processes and maintain a high level of expertise.

Qualifications:

Bachelor\\\\\'s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Proven experience as a Structural CAD Designer with a focus on steel structures.
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant structural analysis tools.
Knowledge of steel material properties, fabrication processes, and construction methodologies.
Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to steel structures.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
