JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
- Record financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, using accounting software or manual methods.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. This may involve creating financial reports and forecasts.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and compare actual performance with budgeted figures.
- Prepare and file tax returns for individuals or businesses, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and distribute financial reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing financial information and supporting documentation.
- Calculate and process payroll, including deductions, taxes, and other withholdings.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making within the organization.
- Identify and assess financial risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and systems.
