The ideal senior Backend developer candidate will have proven development, deployment, and management of microservices. Candidate must be able to translate business requirements into technical architecture, specifications, and code for both greenfield and brownfield solutions. Candidate must have experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, CI/CD testing and deployment automation, and deployment experience in cloud production environments. Candidate must possess critical and analytical thinking skills and have the ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced SaaS startup environment. Candidate should have proven abilities to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail in order to deliver frictionless results. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for designing and implementing frictionless solutions for developers as well as application administrators and end users. This is a remote role and will report to the in-country CTO.

EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or the equivalent of commercial experience.
2+ years of experience as a Backend Developer. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing SaaS software solutions.
2-4 years of relevant experience with MongoDB, Express, Typescript, NodeJS
Must Hand on experience in payment integration
Understanding of and commercial experience in the full SDLC
Demonstrable experience in both Greenfield and Brownfield software development
Experience managing DevOps CI/CD with tools like Git, Bitbucket, and Jenkins
Expertise in containerized computing environments utilizing Kubernetes with Docker containers
Experience in agile scrum project management.
Experience with data security and governance
Experience with data architecture, modeling, and integration
Knowledge of API, Microservices, network, and security architectures, and design patterns
Ability to debug and rework code to be more efficient.
Expertise in developing and maintaining technical requirements and documentation
A tenacity to collaborate in problem-solving with others, even when working remotely.
Self-directed and works effectively in both independent and collaborative environments.
Professional approach to time, costs, and deadlines.
Excellent organizational, time management, and process management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
