- Scrutinizing import documents and correction of discrepant documents
- Set Priorities for clearance urgently required by Supply chain department and Assign work / documents to subordinates
- Ensure EDB quota with correct model with verification from quota statement and Proper follow up with stake holders / customers
- Resolve Customs, shipping lines and customer’s queries. Filing reviews on contravention created by custom authorities.
- Proper checks on in process custom documents. Keep view on shipping charges and coordinates with finance department for arrangement of funds.
- Ensure timely preparation and filing of custom documents with correct custom dues and formalities for timely clearance..
- Recommends enhancement / development of SAP reports for maximum utilization of SAP. *Ensure all inputs in SAP. *Resolve SAP queries.
- File review application for consignments, if (value enhanced, change in HS Codes, & disallow exemptions.
- Negotiate & advice SCM regarding excess shipping charges (LCL Shipments)
- Preparation of GD's. matching with SAP and Excel based Calculations
- Preparation of demand for pay orders in SAP
- Monitoring of shipment on weboc
- Correspondence with customs, shipping line
- Find out HS Code for new Imported Items.
- Appropriate knowledge of custom tariff, EDB QUOTA AND SRO's
