Position Summary:

Currently THF seeks a dynamic and self-motivated individual for the position of Assistant Manager Marketing & Communication to play a critical role in ensuring the organization achieves its plans for growth in alignment with its mission, vision and values. The selected individual will report directly and work closely with the head of MARCOM to be a key player in THF’s marketing and communication efforts cross-departmentally and network-wide.

The Assistant Manager Marketing & Communication will also be responsible for digital content creation, management of THF’s editorial calendar, and managing all aspects of the organization’s Social Media presence.  Ideally, the candidate should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a small, close-knit team, coordinate with the agency and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • General Marketing & Communications
  • Collaborate with Head of MARCOM to develop ATL and BTL marketing and communication strategies and plans to promote THF and the network of its Institutes and activities, THF advertising, THF publications, THF public awareness, and PR and advocacy efforts
  • Assist in development of policies and protocols at the organization
  • Assist in articulating the foundation’s/institutes’ image and brand in delivery of message
  • Assist in developing digital marketing plans that that help promote corporate image including social media, website and e-newsletter
  • Conduct primary and secondary market research (need analysis)
  • Develop and maintain a constituent information database for marketing and research
  • Execute on the annual marketing strategy for brand positioning campaigns, student awareness campaigns, fund raising campaigns, etc.
  • Drive growth in target market through implementation of key strategies
  • Work under direct supervision of Head of MARCOM and collaborate with THF Advertising Agency and Communication team to build, refine, and maximize THFs communication with partners, including email, SMS, and social media messaging that targets specific audiences
  • Develop and maintain communications calendar for social media, email, web, WhatsApp and SMS
  • Create materials for THF’s fundraising campaigns and lead on the development of required fundraising materials to secure funding, raise the profile THF globally and assist the teams in showcasing THFs strengths and services to secure funding
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies. This includes evaluating emerging marketing techniques and trends, and providing feedback and perspective for adoption, where appropriate.
  • Manage THF’s network-wide digital asset library (Images, Posts, Videos, etc.) and manage creative production of online and offline marketing assets, graphic design, web development and eDMs from initial concept to finalized production and execution
  • Contribute to corporate/institute/departmental engagement content development in collaboration with key staff (Endowment Fund Report, Annual Report, Newsletter)
  • Constantly engage stakeholders to maximize brand awareness, recognition and favorability
  • Serve as the foundation-wide point person for digital initiatives and support agency, media and other relevant external partner relationships as and when needed
  • Proactively assess and adopt emerging technologies and strategies and develop new programs accordingly
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management
  • Manage all aspects of THF’s social media presence (THF Website, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube)
  • Drive strategy to increase daily engagement on THF social media accounts and increase conversion rates
  • Lead content creation for THF’s social media, including written website/blog content, tweets, posts & videos
  • Increase awareness for key initiatives and events, (fund raising, admissions, recruitment, collaborations, etc.) including Annual Admission Campaigns/Drive, Ramazan Fund Raising, etc.
  • Data & Analytics       
  • Monitor, report and present on online engagement analytics (web, email, social media, earned media)
  • Leverage key engagement metrics across platforms to optimize content, messaging and distributions
  • Track and monitor KPI performance adjust digital marketing plans accordingly

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 4-5 years of relevant professional experience in communications and/or marketing, preferably in a nonprofit organization
  • Master’s degree in Marketing or Advertising, Public Relations or Communications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Proven results in implementing marketing and communications strategic plans
  • Understanding of different target markets
  • Demonstrated successful experience making presentations
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
  • Experience developing and managing budgets
  • Significant experience of creating, implementing, and evaluating data-driven communications and using digital marketing approaches (e.g., email, SMS, social media)
  • Proven results in managing social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) and analytics technologies (Sprout Social, HubSpot, Google Analytics, etc.) to engage a diverse audience
  • Knowledge of other performance marketing tools will be an added plus
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms and basic HTML (WordPress, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while managing deadlines
  • Specialized experience will be a plus - for example, working with an intermediary organization on a national scale
  • Passion for supporting youth and youth transformation initiatives

Registered in 2008 under the Societies Act 1860, Hunar Foundations took its first batch in January 2010 in premises supplied by Delhi Mercantile Society, Karachi in its DMS School facility. The students gave their City & Guilds exam at the end of the year and till 2019 14 batches had graduated with one year diplomas.
