Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Instructor to fill the role of Retail Sales Associate. The main responsibilities of this position include developing and delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of students regarding retail sales associates.

Job Description:

  • Prepare personalized sessions by reviewing curriculum materials, creating annotated session plans, and integrating stories or examples to increase participant learning.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for retail sales associates, covering a wide range of topics including customer service, product knowledge, sales techniques, and store operations.
  • Engage participants in active thinking and participatory learning using effective communication and facilitation techniques.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs and accommodate different learning styles.
  • Provide individual coaching and mentoring to participants retail sales associates, offering guidance and support to help them enhance their performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in retail sales, incorporating relevant information into training programs to ensure they remain current and relevant.
  • Administer, grade, and provide feedback to participants through session and weekly assessments.
  • Mobilize targeted youth by mapping areas in the community frequented by targeted youth.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with key stakeholders including community leaders to establish relationships and guidance to reaching targeted youth.
  • Screen candidates and prepare them to attend the training.
  • Any other administrative duties required to ensure the successful operations of the program.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, evaluations, and training materials, and provide reports as required.
  • Instructors are required to participate in daily/weekly check-in calls with participants.
  • Collaborate with the program mentor and FYEP staff to identify and mitigate potential risks to participant success and achievement of their goal.

Requirements:

  • Passion for helping change the life trajectories of unemployed youth.
  • Professionalism which includes but is not limited to adherence to a professional dress code, communications and engagement with supervisors, colleagues, and students and pays close attention to detail.
  • Must have Expert-level proficiency in Urdu (Speaking, Reading, Comprehension, and Listening).
  • Should have Intermediate-level proficiency in English (Speaking, Reading, Comprehension, and Listening).
  • The ability to collect and analyze training data.
  • Be self-reflective, openly receive feedback on his/her performance and should be able to apply feedback and pursue additional learning to improve his/her performance.
  • A positive, solutions-oriented attitude, drive for excellence.
  • Strong cross-cultural skills that demonstrate the ability to engage well with students.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Qualification:

Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

Experience: At least 2 years' experience working as a Retail Sales Associate and subsequently promoted to a supervisory and/or managerial position in the same field.

Registered in 2008 under the Societies Act 1860, Hunar Foundations took its first batch in January 2010 in premises supplied by Delhi Mercantile Society, Karachi in its DMS School facility.
