We, Vertex Chemicals, formerly known as Pagel Pakistan, are a leading construction chemicals company in Pakistan. For over 12 years we have pursued a vision of providing a solid foundation for Pakistan to build upon by bringing the global excellence in construction chemicals, tailored to the unique needs of the local construction needs.
We are searching for a highly motivated chemist who thrives being hands-on and experimental, ideally with solid experience with thermoset resin based coatings and adhesives.
More importantly, you should be comfortable with research methodology to back up your out of the box ideas. This is a senior level role and the ideal candidate will be expected to a self starter and leader.
Responsibilities
· Undertake daily hands-on research related to the formulation, characterization and performance testing of coatings, as per established goals.
· Work collaboratively with marketing team to understand market conditions as well as client requirements to help formulate.
· Diligently maintain archives of experimental research, reports, samples and prototypes
· Actively contribute new ideas for internal innovation Centre on new commercial products.
· Supervise activities of Quality testing personnel for all outgoing material through subordinates.
· Write lab reports for key developmental projects
Qualifications
· Min. Masters Degree in Chemistry or equivalent from a top university
· 5+ years' of experience with thermoset coatings and adhesives. Experience from the paint industry will be highly beneficial.
· Strong Excel and Presentation skills
· Solid Project management skills
· Demonstrable leadership skills
