Job Descriptions – Office Boy Cum Assistant, WRAP

Reports to: Assistant National Coordinator

Location: Islamabad

Background:

White Ribbon Alliance (WRA) is a torchbearer of safe motherhood across the globe and functions through its national alliances for policy and practice changes at global and country levels. WRA Pakistan aims to undertake a concerted campaign on safe motherhood in Pakistan and requires the services of an Office Boy. This will be a full time post to support the office activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential

1. Keeping office clean and tidy

· Supervising the cleaner for office and bathroom cleaning. Doing dusting and vacuum cleaning in absence of cleaner.

· Cleaning of window glasses at least once a month.

· Minor repair of the office where technical help is not required.

· Ensuring the office carpet is stain free.

· Washing office vehicle on alternate days.

· Keep kitchen clean and hygienically well maintained. Daily refuse is dumped before leaving the office.

2. Serving tea in office and during meetings

· Serving tea and lunch to office colleagues on regular basis

· ensuring arrangements are complete before meeting as per instructions

· serving tea and lunches to guests during the meeting/workshop and liaise with vendor for lunch/snack items

· support in pre and post workshop activities including preparing workshop handouts

3. Manning reception area

· Ensure that reception is well attended.

· Taking log of messages for office staff. Receive mail at reception and dispose off according to WRA policy.

· Maintain incoming and outgoing mail register.

4. Any other task assigned by manager
