Legal Manager

Responsible for adding value to the business by effective and efficient management of Company’s legal and tax function, provision of internal legal advisory services and ensuring efficient delivery of legal and taxation services to clients.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include providing legal advice and proactive guidance internally and to clients in their respective fields of business.
Represent the firm and its clients in civil and criminal suits.
Income tax and sales tax filing and representation before tax authorities
Company incorporation and related corporate matters pertaining to SECP and Registrar of Companies.
Legal and compliance matters pertaining to partnerships, trusts and companies.
Review and provide legal advice on contractual and other agreement documentation and their proper drafting and implementation.
Contracts/Agreements/MOUs management system to achieve operational efficiencies, reduce turn-around time, improve compliance, reduce risks with better quality contracts and timely actions.
Negotiate and draft documentation for business transactions where the Firm or its clients legally commit themselves.
Ensure Trademarks registrations are up to date, intellectual property and copyrights are protected, brand infringements are proactively and effectively dealt with.
In collaboration with other departments develop strategy for proactive interaction and engagement with regulatory bodies like SECP, FBR, PRA, CCP etc.
Review ongoing cases, liaise with external lawyers, courts, etc for the progress of these cases and advise management and clients accordingly.
Review external panel of legal advisors/counsels for adequacy, quality, and cost of services.
Prepare legal notices and replies to legal notices.
Compliance of Labour and related laws, environmental, food safety, food standards, and other laws related to the operation of the firm and client's business.
Assist and provide solutions for compliance with taxation laws.
Continuously monitor compliance with corporate law and statutory obligations and advise accordingly.
