1- Conceptualize and deliver creative, market competitive, cutting edge, and business need product/solutions.

2- Coordinate effectively with Editorial and concerned departments for developing design collateral as per business needs and trends.

3- Ensure through close monitoring that all SoPs and guidelines (including Branding Guidelines) are followed by teams as defined. Identify and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate gaps.

4- Collect different publishers’ information and analyse and regularly review their products. Subsequently, advise the team to take pre-emptive measures in order to remain competitive and increase market share.

5- Ensure authenticity and accuracy of content such as images and illustrations; check the quality and level of work, consistency in content and style; address VPARSNIP issues in digital projects and products.

6- Present progress of strategies and plans as required through reports or appropriate presentation methods.

7- Government Business: Keep up-to-date about any change or development made by Ministry of Education at Federal, Provincial or Local level which could affect the business or create opportunity for business. Stay informed about policy changes and trends at the Federal Education and Training Ministry and Higher Education Commission.

8- Participate and take a lead in Global, Divisional, and Branch level activities which will enhance the leadership capacity and will provide opportunity to contribute to the growth of the business and its people.

9- People :

  • Develop strong and highly competent teams to deliver tasks. Take appropriate measures to effectively manage their performance which should result in high retention rates. Provide feedback in taking productive measures in meeting targets and providing high quality service to stakeholders.
  • Identify appropriate learning and development needs for employees and provide them feedback on improving performance and achieving goals efficiently.
  • Identify and develop key talent for the role of Team Leader in the future. Also, retain them for future business growth and need.
  • Identify and develop successors by vertical or horizontal movements of employees. Create an environment for attracting and retaining best performers in team, in—order to take leadership roles in near future.

10- Submit the Conflict of Interest (COI) declaration within the stipulated time annually and inform Compliance about any revisions.

11- Ensure 100% successful completion of the Code of Conduct / Ethical Policies online training within the stated timeframe.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • A strong school education and university degree (equivalent to Master’s), with 5 to 8 years of Publishing/Designing experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of local cultural sensibilities and needs, and also about changing needs and how technology is impacting the industry and work.
  • Understanding about National Curriculum of Pakistan.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skill in both verbal and written English language.
  • Strong leadership, project management, presentation and analytical skills.
  • Proficient and understanding about E-learning systems (Moodle), Ubuntu Linux,
  • Open Source tools/application, Computer languages (VB/VBA, SQL, HTML, XML PHP,javaScript).
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as per business need.
