Position Objective

  • The position is responsible for the implementation of integrated community-based WASH, FSL, and nutrition strategy under the supervision of the Emergency Manager (SPM).

Mission: To ensure efficient, effective, and timely implementation of the community based/ outreach/ social mobilization activities of the project

  • Regular visit in target are to support and facilitate process of social mobilization at per design of the project.
  • Ensure that target communities are well aware of project design and selection criteria for beneficiaries.
  • Facilitate the process of beneficiary selection and perform verification checks.
  • Develop detailed monthly/weekly implementation plans in order to achieve the activities in the project DIP;
  • Conduct needs and technical assessments and support project manager/M&E team in analysis, and follow-ups;
  • Maintain, document and handover all project records in an organized and complete manner to enable audit of the project;
  • Identify and monitor risks, constraints, or escalating issues and inform senior management immediately;
  • Support PM in development of weekly, monthly and quarterly internal and external reports as requested;

  • Read and ensure a full understanding and promotion of ACFs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies
  • Implement all work-related activities with a gender, inclusion, and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns, and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries
  • Ensure and encourage the incorporation of gender equity principles in all policies and activities
  • Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.

Skills and resources needed to perform the function

  • Strong project management skills
  • Substantial experience in integrated emergency response programs and managing partners
  • Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills
  • Able to analyze and summarize complex technical  and contextual information
  • Fluent in English, reading writing, and speaking. Fluency in the local language of the program implementation area will be preferred
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Team management skills
  • Ability to handle stress and pressure
  • Master's Degree in Social Sciences or relevant field.
  • Minimum 05 years of overall experience and 03 years in the relevant field in the development sector
