About Job Role:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be the owner of the infrastructure architecture and operations.
It will be your responsibility to ensure the availability, uptime, cost optimization, and overall quality of the product match the business requirements.
We are seeking hands-on professionals who are comfortable with challenging environments from technical and managerial perspectives.
Responsibilities:
- Be the “glue” between the engineering and infrastructure
- Support operations during critical incidents by acting as last level support
- Own the availability plans
- Own the cost efficiency plans
- Perform the capacity planning
- Drive continuous product improvement (resilience, automation, compliance)
Requirements:
- Overall 3+ years of experience with security teams.
- 1+ year experience in the administration of one or more of the following platforms: AWS, Docker , Azure, GCP, and CI/CD pipelines automation.
- 1+ year experience in containers orchestration using Kubernetes
- Relevant certification will be considered a plus
- Experience in operating production systems on AWS using EC2, RDS, S3, ELB, Cloud Formation and familiarity interacting with the AWS APIs or VMWare administration experience on mid-size environment
- Experienced at the administration of one or more following platforms: Google Cloud Instances, Azure VMs
- Experienced with declarative configuration management and provisioning tools like Puppet or Chef
- Proficient in modern architecture stacks and SOA (service-oriented architecture)
- Hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and Wifi directly, or working with vendors, and also knows how to configure them securely.
- Has configured and troubleshot Linux and Windows servers especially, proxy, web,LDAP/Active Directory, DHCP Servers.
- Some basic scripting level knowledge on Bash or Python is a must.
- Automation experience is a must and familiarity with tools like Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, Virtualisation-Tech, Nagios (monitoring tools), Git, and ELK.
Good to have expertise like:
- Experience with a SIEM, IDS, IPS system would be a plus.
- Experience with some tools Jira, saltstack, CFEngine, Splunk, Ansible, Vagrant, Jenkins
