The IT Project Manager maintains and monitors project plans and project schedules. This role is also responsible for organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings, documenting meetings and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings, as well as undertaking project tasks as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Coordinates project management activities and information
• Breaks projects into doable actions and sets timeframes
• Identifies and defines requirements, scope and objectives
• Assigns tasks to internal teams and assisst with schedule management
• Monitors project progress and handles any issues that arise
• Acts as the point of contact and communicates project status to all participants
• Works with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers
• Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
• Ensures standards and requirements are met through ensuring quality assurance tests are conducted
Required Skills/Abilities:
• An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
• Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
• Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT Project Management or related field preferred
• Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
• Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g. JIRA or Trello)
• Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
• Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
