Collection Officer – Position Description
We are looking for detail oriented, analytical collection officer professional who is capable to work under pressure, meet the deadlines and accept challenges.
Job Responsibilities:
- Calculate and post receipts to appropriate general ledger accounts and verify details of transactions, such as funds received and total account balances.
- Prepare weekly AR aging to calculate total receivables and follow up customers for non-payment accounts.
- Takes action to handle provisions and bad debts in a timely manner.
- Charging customer credit cards on a semi-monthly basis as well as posting receipts based on daily bank deposits.
- Support and assist the billing team for generating vendor invoices on a monthly basis.
- Handling all customer queries such as providing a statement of accounts and resolving invoice(s) issues.
- Posting check deposits in quick books.
- Maintain records by microfilming invoices, debits, and credits.
- Report delinquent account to the management and on approval, forward the case to third-party collection vendor for legal action.
- Coordinate with accounting associates to provide the required information.
Skills:
- Excellent communication, MS office, thoroughness, & general math skills.
