Bahria Town Karachi is seeking to hire a Chief Resident Engineer/RE(Head Quality Control) (Civil Works) for its superhighway project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality control of building, structure, and infrastructure activities within a large-scale housing project. The Head Quality Control will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of construction and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures for civil works in the project.
- Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations.
- Conduct regular quality audits, inspections, and tests to identify any deviations or non-compliance issues.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and architects, to address quality-related concerns and provide technical guidance.
- Review and evaluate design plans, technical drawings, and specifications to identify potential quality issues and propose improvements.
- Identify and resolve quality-related problems during construction, including material deficiencies, workmanship issues, and safety concerns.
- Ensure effective documentation and record-keeping of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance issues.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the quality control team, including training and development of staff members.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 to 20 years of experience in Quality Control of Building & Structure & Infrastructure, preferably in large-scale housing projects.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control principles, practices, and methodologies in civil construction.
- Strong understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards in the construction field.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to lead a team, delegate responsibilities, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to ensuring quality and adherence to project specifications.
