British American Tobacco Cameroon has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Manager in Douala.

The prime function of this role is to manage import and warehouse operations in Cameroon with precision and dedication.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Business

• Manage and control all warehousing in BAT logistics, ensuring we have the accurate warehousing infrastructure in the right place at the right time.
• Ensure availability and accuracy of all inventory in BAT Warehouses.
• Develop, manage, and maintain the inventory control process to protect BAT stock.
• Ensure the integrity of the logistics processes, systems, and products being handled to guarantee customer happiness.
• Track shipments from port to the End Market.
• Ensure the availability and conformity of documentation for each consignment for clearance.
• Conduct daily follow-up of Warehouses Activities.
• Ensure Warehouse Inventories are accurate and meet required stock holding policy.
• Ensure Finished Goods (FG) are stored under the required conditions.
• Ensure compliance of the Warehouses to Global Standards.
• Complete and carry out the local shipment plan to distributors.
• Update local stock management procedures.
• Manage 3PL contracts effectively.

Leadership

• Adopt a change management approach to transform logistics performance across the network.
• Maintain a professional and well-motivated team, ensuring effective use of resources.
• Lead negotiations with third-party providers, encouraging them to support the BAT logistics strategy and execution.
• Drive a culture that ensures absolute control of the Logistics processes with necessary preventive and corrective measures.
• Foster a culture of trust and collaboration with 3PLs.

Management

• Ensure appropriate insurance coverage for all movement and storage of goods and process all claims efficiently.
• Coordinate third-party management and expenditure.
• Ensure BAT Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) and other working standards are always observed.
• Manage relationships with 3PL service providers to deliver encouraged business outcomes through teamwork, partnerships, and collaboration.
• Maintain and issue the Logistics critical metric dashboard, and conduct performance reviews with continuous improvement plans.
• Ensure all records are maintained and provided according to standard methodologies and local regulations.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelors Degree
• 1-5 years of relevant experience (Logistics/Supply Chain)
• Intermediate level of English
• SAP knowledge (added advantage)
