Work on new business development plans by organizing events
Pitching products
Handling social media queries.
Dealing with clients queries and do regular follow-ups.
Coordinating regarding placed orders.
Dispatching orders on time.
Managing inventory and updating information on daily basis.
Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
Contacting potential clients via facebook page or phone to establish rapport
Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
Attending meetings, and industry events
Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s products
Developing quotes and proposals
Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email
Developing sales goals for the team and ensuring they are met
Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills
To keep healthy relationships with clients, this mostly requires socialisation. So from simple chats on the phone to lunches and events to keep their customers happy. Business development professionals are also obligated to write reports and provide feedback to upper. management about what is and is not working.

To be an effective Social Media Marketing Officer and business development, an individual must be:

Socially adeptive
Creative and Intelligent
Able to provide quality leadership to existing team members
Strong communication
Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems
In-depth knowledge of the social media handling and can manage facebook page efficiently
Can work on inventory software.
