Cloud DevOps Engineer / Cloud Infrastructure Administrator

AlphaBOLD is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its IT/DevOps team and work closely with the DevOps Lead. This role is crucial in supporting and implementing strong cloud infrastructure and deployment strategies across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and managing CI/CD automation pipelines, especially using Azure DevOps, to improve application delivery and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for various applications to ensure smooth automation and deployment. Provide technical support and guidance to development teams on continuous integration and delivery best practices. Oversee the entire release process to guarantee timely and reliable software delivery. Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform to automate cloud infrastructure deployments. Manage containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, Azure container apps/instances, and ECR. Utilize Azure DevOps and Jenkins to build automated deployment pipelines. Lead the organizational shift from Agile/Waterfall methodologies to DevOps and CI/CD practices. Significantly reduce deployment times by enabling rapid releases through simplified Git push deployments. Monitor application performance proactively to optimize operational efficiency. Apply hands-on expertise in cloud computing, container orchestration, and Kubernetes from a system developer or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) perspective. Maintain strong proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems, including popular distributions. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash and Python. Collaborate effectively across teams, managing multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. Communicate professionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders, adapting quickly to evolving technologies and business priorities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Four to six years of relevant experience in DevOps or a similar role. Proven expertise with public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP. Deep understanding of CI/CD processes, tools, and industry best practices. Strong skills in container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with infrastructure as code, particularly Terraform. Proficiency in Azure DevOps and Jenkins for automated deployment workflows. Solid scripting abilities in Bash and Python. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
