UI/UX Designer

As a key member of a cross-functional exploration teams you will design, research and assess the viability and potential introduction of additional features based on new product enhancements and emerging technologies. You will be responsible for delivering insights that enhance the mobile app experience for Shark Robotics and UIs of other products in the Cloudtek portfolio. Your projects and resulting findings and recommendations will help harmonize physical Robotic vacuum product features with ancillary app-based functions and uncover meaningful UX/UI behaviors to help further delight consumers other non-app connected devices.

Key Responsibilities

· Represent the Voice of the Consumer in all aspects of UI/UX development

· Design, execute user research to support and validate mobile app and product UI design work including drafting of protocols, recruitment, moderating usability interviews, analysis and delivering recommendations

· As needed, produce wireframes of new features, and user flows as stimuli to conduct usability testing

· Create and manage customer journey maps and research documentation detailing ancillary UI behaviors and lessons learned

· Help teams prioritize use cases to further support the Shark mobile app and physical product UI design and product interactions

· Further support product development teams by strategizing the ‘productization’ of ‘blue sky’ design work by helping to translate high-level design concepts into viable ideas and content to conduct user research

· Communicate and coordinate with multiple project teams across various technical spaces—Product Engineering, Software Development, Quality, Marketing, Brand—to be sure collaborative partnerships between design, business and development and the product roadmap are supported and realized

Desired Skills

· A minimum of a bachelor’s degree

· 2-4 years of relevant experience in UX research, mobile app testing and customer insights

· Ability to unpack, breakdown and process feature and design challenges of varying magnitudes and complexity

· Proficiency using UX tools and methodologies to conduct mobile-app testing and uncover meaningful UX/UI behaviors

· Wireframing UX/UI flow(s) from mobile products, and product UIs

· Demonstrated success in uncovering and solving challenging mobile app related customer issues in a dynamic business setting

· Proven ability delivering high quality results and recommendations in a challenging environment

· Willingness to ask tough business questions and challenge the status quo while being comfortable with complexity and ambiguity

· Well-developed project management skills and ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously and organize effectively in a fast-paced, environment

· Ability to produce and manage detailed technical documentation

· Ensures deadlines are met and proactively communicates roadblocks when they are at risk

· Proven relationship building abilities across multi-functional teams with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written (presentations/emails) and personal interactions

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to complete tasks and identify solutions
