Job Description:
- Recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications.
- Installs revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts; recommending optimum access techniques; coordinating installation requirements for Oracle, SQL and MySQL Databases
- Maintains database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products.
- Manage different versions of Oracle (10g, 11g, 12c) and SQL database.
- Perform tuning, backup and recovery (RMAN) of Oracle databases
- Plan and document disaster recovery, replication and high availability scenarios for SQL/MySQL Servers
Candidate Requirement:
- 2-4 year experience of any two databases is required (Oracle, SQL and MySQL)
- Solid understanding of RDBMS design
- Experience in Installation/Support/Cloning/Patching/Migration
- Oracle high availability experience. (Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Active Data Guard, Streams)
- Exposure of Oracle ASM, OCFS, Exa Data.
- Expertise in working on Linux/UNIX, Windows
- Experience in Installation/Support/Cloning/Patching/Migration
- Experience in performance tuning, backup and recovery of databases
- SQL high availability experience. (mirroring, transactional, P2P transactional)
- Exposure of SQL Server Clustering
- MY SQL replication, Master-Slave, Master-Master
