Draftsman - Electrical

Seeking an experienced Draftsman in Electrical with expertise in drafting for Transmission & Distribution projects. Responsibilities include preparing quality drawings according to client standards, utilizing advanced drafting software, and ensuring compliance with QMS requirements. This role involves leading and mentoring a drafting team, managing project documentation, and meeting deadlines with high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities:

Develop accurate, high-quality drawings aligned with project and client standards, using advanced drafting tools.
Manage and mentor a team of draftsmen, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
Oversee drafting documentation, maintaining compliance with QMS and project requirements.

Key Skills:

Good working knowledge on design of control, protection, metering, and monitoring systems for LV/ MV/ HV/ EHV substations from concept design to construction drawings.
Working knowledge on control, protection, metering, and monitoring systems pertaining to control & protection schemes, CT/ PT calculations, relay setting calculations etc.
Strong Knowledge of SAS system, IED relays, IEC61850, and interface with SCADA and communication.
Familiar with relevant codes & standards – International electro-technical commission (IEC), IEEE, BS (British Standards), Regional Standards, Quality and Metrology Organization (SASO), SEC standards etc.
Strong understanding and working knowledge of design software – DIGSI, PCM600, MICOM AGILE, Envista, SEL, Building Designer, MicroStation, AutoCAD etc.

Qualifications and Experience:

B. Tech (bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology) or DAE (Electrical)
7-12 years of drafting experience in T&D projects
